teachers in made "love them", love them truly, show them that you care for them and you respect
their opinions and points of view. Our students know how we feel about them, no matter if they are
grade one or grade nine students; they can catch up that easily from our behaviors and looks.
When you love your students that will be reflected in each and every step in your classroom. You
will act naturally, you will tend to smile whenever felt you need to, you will be able to manage and
control your classroom and student's behavior better. Since students when touch your love will
tend to love you too, and control the behavior that may annoy you.
The moment i knew i was going to be a teacher i thought that i will surely love my students
because of my daily contact with them. But i never imagined that will miss them on holidays, or
that I will cry when someone of them get hurt. Last week "Yossof" a grade one student was
running in the play ground and fell on the ground and his knee was injured. I cried...felt as if
something happened to myself. Some might considered over sensitivity, but to me it's enough to
say that " I really LOVE my students" :)

Shatha, it is not over sensitivity and your post is as wonderful as your teaching techniques. You seem to reach your students through love and care. I believe this is the right way for a teacher to keep her students engaged and attentive. Another point I would like to highlight is that we are humans and nothing is as innocent as the eyes of those kids. It is okay if you love them that deep. Any human being in our place would feel the same :)
ReplyDeleteShatha your essay is really nice , it is very important to love your students but i think that some circumstances make you stressed and nervous because some students slut and you can't accept their behavior . I hope you won't encounter any problems with your students and to continue with this spirit .
ReplyDeleteI agree with you Shatha that as teachers we must create a strong bond between our students and ourselves, and that would have great effect on their performance and achievement. It is not a difficult thing for us to respect our students and behave just as we want them to behave, and naturally the students' actions and behaviors will change positively, and students will feel that you really care about them and love them as if they were your own children. But also we have to emphasize that it is very important for the teacher to keep this relationship within limits and students must keep in mind that the teacher is the one in control of the class and that there are some rules that they must not break.
ReplyDeleteI agree with u Shatha, love and care is the best way that a teacher can use to reach students.Showing students care tend to form a strong bond between students and the teacher which directly effect their performance in class.Sometimes good and simple words from the teacher have a better impact on students than shouting or forcing them to do a task.Aggressive behaviors may tend to negative feedback instead of positive ones, so getting near to students through love and care serve students performance and achievement .
ReplyDeletewhat you said shatha is very sensitive and important. Students are like our children they need care and attention, to be valued and respected. They feel very happy and more motivated when the teacher gives them the needed care and attention as if she is their mom especially if you teach lower grades.
ReplyDeleteWhoever the students are and wherever they live, teachers should work to enrich the live of the students. Teachers are the role models of the students and they teach them love, care, and respect for better relationships and attitudes. To teach love, students should see love and sense it from the teacher in order to practice love and live the warmth.
ReplyDeleteSometimes shatha we don't express our love for their students like what happened with me. i express my love towards them every time i prepare a lesson that i'm not teaching content or to make them get good grades i always try to teach them whats important for them in math for their life and i always try to relate math to their life to make them enjoy it and not to make it pure abstract
ReplyDelete"The best feeling in the world is to love and be loved in return." Loving your students and having them love you back makes your job much easier. It feels great entering your class knowing that your students like your presence. Knowing that they care about your feelings concerning their actions is even better. Students are always more cooperative if they love you and you can achieve a lot as a result.
